Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan arrive in Kolkata
T
he superstar of the Millenium, the Megastar, the Shahenshah of Bollywood, the living legend but over and above all those names, he is the jamaiof Kolkata - Amitabh Bachchan arrived today morning in the city of Joy with his wife, Kolkata's own - Jaya Bachchan.
The couple seemed to be enjoying every bit of their trip to the city, right from the plane having landed to meeting a sea of well-wishers just outside of the Netaji Subhas Chandra Airport. The Bachchans were all smiles in front of the crowd and the cameras, and Amitabh Bachchan even humbly gestured a namaste for all.
The Kolkata Film Festival is scheduled to be opening tonight and the power couple from Bollywood are the main Guests of Honour besides Kamal Hassan and the Brand Ambassador of Bengal - Shahrukh Khan.
Our Little Birdie also spotted the couple coming out of their Hotel suites, looking absolutely fabulous.
Amitabh Bachchan looked as classy and suave as ever in a black gala-bandh suit, but looking even better in a pink hued saree was the city's own - Jaya Bachchan; and she was all blushes when complemented on her attire.
The crowds went berserk as the stars made their way to Netaji Indoor Stadium for the inauguration of the film fest.
