Premiere of 'Rangbaaz'
A
lthough two other heavy-weight films are clashing with theirs, this Puja weekend; the makers of 'Rangbaaz' seemed quitely confident of their success at the premiere of the movie.
The film starring Dev and Koel, has been one of the most eagerly anticipated movies of this year and judging by the crowd reactions, outside a south Kolkata theatre during the premiere, it surely is going to be a super-hit one!
The songs from the film have already been a raging success and the fans have adored Jeet Ganguli's compositions yet again! The film is directed by Raja Chanda, while the cinematography is by Sailesh Awasthi. For the first time in Bengali films, veteran action director Allan Amin, has directed all the action sequences and from the trailer we can safely infer that it's at par with the likes from the Hindi Film Industry.
Dev had attended the premier of 'Mishawr Rahasya' and in perhaps one of the most wonderful gestures, veteran of the Industry, Prosenjit Chatterjee dropped by to encourage team 'Rangbaaz'. Present among others were directors like Rajib, Baba Yadav, Kamaleshwar Mukherjee, young turk Aryann, actor Kushal Chakrabarty, cricketer Manoj Tiwary and many more.
It's going to be interesting to note whether 'Rangbaaz' can break the record of 'Boss' as far as opening weekend collections are concerned! Durga Puja time surely has heralded an opportune period in the Bengali film industry.
