Saroj Khan hits it up with 'Dance Mania'

erhaps for the very first time, the City of Howrah will have a celebrity choreographer coming down from Mumbai, to Judge a show!
Saroj Khan, legendary Bollywood choreographer flew down many a mile to be part of "Dance Mania" - the biggest dance competition of Howrah! The event was an initiative by Red Launchers and Nik's Dance Factory.
After gruelling workshops, and camps, finally only 10 youngsters reached the Grand Finale and when our Little Birdie visted their sets, we were awed by the grit and determination of the young dancers!
Saroj Khan too seemed very impressed with the kids and the young adults as she praised the initiators for their vision and hardwork behind such a project; and complemented all the participants for their "good show".
When prodded a little further, the veteran choreographer expressed her disappointment in the way film choreography has been done in the recent years. With more skin show than actual dance, here's hoping we see a lot many more good and pure dancers in the near future, making their way into mainstream films!
