unal Padhy - an Actor, a well known Theatre Director, a Musician and a travel junkie; passed away on Saturday night.
Kunal, who was in his mid-40's suffered a massive cardiac arrest at his residence. "He was heading out and went to get his bike, when it (the attack) happened." revealed a source close to the late actor.
Padhy owned a travel agency and was also quite well known for his deep voice and strong stage/screen presence. Having worked in films like Khoka 420, Maach Mishti & More, Abar Byomkesh, Kahaani, Icche, Bye Bye Bangkok, Iti ‘Mrinalini’: An Unfinished Letter, Memories in March, Chha-e Chhuti, Anuranan and Bow Barracks Forever; his demise is certainly a huge loss for the industry!
Some of Padhy's friends and colleagues expressed their grief over his sudden death via social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.
Aniket Chattopadhyay who had worked with Padhy in his films - Bye Bye Bangkok and Chha-e-Chhuti said on Facebook - "Kunal Padhi acted in two of my films.....Chha E Chhuti was his first film with me.....I just can't imagine this! There are too many memories!" (translated from Bengali)
Arindam Sil tweeted - "A longtime friend, colleague. The sauve, gentlemanly Kunal Padhy ... It is absolutely so shocking ... He is no more !!! RIP my friend."
Our Little Birdie is deeply saddened by this loss and our hearts go out to his friends and family during this difficult time.
